The much-anticipated drama series “When Life Gives You Tangerines,” starring IU and Park Bo-gum, has been confirmed to air on Netflix. The drama, which has generated a lot of buzz since its casting was announced, will tell the story of Ae Soon (Played by IU), a spirited woman from Jeju Island who dreams of becoming a poet, and Gwan Shik (Played by Park Bo-gum), a man who has always loved her from afar. The drama is set in the 1950s and will be directed by Kim Won Suk (Arthdal Chronicles, Signal, My Mister) and written by Im Sang Choon (Drama Festival 2014: Lump in My Life, Baek Hee Has Returned, Fight for My Way, When the Camellia Blooms).
The drama also marks the first time that IU and Park Bo-gum have worked together. Park Bo-gum is a popular actor who has starred in dramas such as “Hello Monster,” “Reply 1988,” “Encounter,” “Record of Youth.” He is known for his good looks and his charming personality.
The supporting cast of When Life Gives You Tangerines” includes Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon, Na Mun-hee, Yeom Hye-ran, Oh Jung-se, and Lee Jun-young. Kim Seon-ho is also said to be making a special appearance in the drama.

Filming for “When Life Gives You Tangerines” began in March 2023 and is currently in post-production. While an official release date has not yet been announced, the drama is expected to arrive on Netflix sometime in 2025
