Mercy for None Netflixs upcoming noir action series gathers a star studded cast

Netflix’s upcoming noir action series “Mercy for None” has confirmed its star-studded cast, led by So Ji Sub, Heo Joon Ho, Ahn Gil Kang, Lee Bum Soo, Gong Myung, Choo Young Woo, and Jo Han Chul, with special appearances from Cha Seung Won and Lee Joon Hyuk.

The series, adapted from a webtoon, follows two gangs that survived a bloody turf war in Seoul. The story revolves around a man who uncovers hidden secrets after his younger brother’s mysterious death.

So Ji Sub stars as Gi Jun, a man who renounces gang life and cuts his own heel to symbolize his severance. He makes a triumphant return to the noir action genre after 11 years since his film “A Company Man.”

Lee Joon Hyuk plays Gi Seok, Gi Jun’s younger brother who leaves the gang to build his own conglomerate, Joowoon. His mysterious death sparks a new investigation and sets the stage for a thrilling showdown.

Heo Joon Ho, who has captivated audiences with his charismatic performances in “Kingdom,” “Escape from Mogadishu,” and the “Missing: The Other Side” series, takes on the role of CEO Lee Joo Woon, the head of the Joowoon organization that Gi Jun once belonged to.

Ahn Gil Kang, known for his charming performances in “Sell Your Haunted House” and “Tale of the Nine-Tailed,” stars as Gu Bong San, the head of the rival Bongsan organization.

Gong Myung, who starred in the hit films “Hansan: Rising Dragon” and “Extreme Job,” portrays Joon Mo, the successor to the Bongsan organization, which has also transformed into a corporation from its humble beginnings as a gang.

Choo Young Woo, who has impressed audiences with his performances in “Police University,” “School 2021,” and “Oasis,” stars as Geum Son, the son of Lee Joo Woon who is now an incumbent prosecutor trying to distance himself from the gang.

Jo Han Chul as Sung Chul: The closest right hand man to the boss Lee Joo Woon. He starred in “Rebron Rich” and “Casino.”

Cha Seung Won as Mr. Kim: A man who exists for the purpose of coexistence of the two organizations. He impressed in “Believer” and “Night in Paradise.”

Lee Bum Soo, who starred in the action thriller “The Roundup: No Way Out,” portrays Shim Sung Won, the CEO of Enclean, a company.
