K-pop girl group IVE is back with a new song for the summer! The group released their new single “Summer Festa” on June 28th at 6 PM KST, in collaboration with Pepsi for the ‘2024 Pepsi Campaign‘.
“Summer Festa” is a disco-pop track with a funky guitar riff and groovy bassline. The song’s simple but rhythmic beat perfectly captures the vibrant atmosphere of summer, and the unique vocal tones of the IVE members blend perfectly with the track. The lyrics are about confidence, self-assurance, and independence in love, which are themes that are often found in IVE’s music.
IVE has been working with Pepsi since 2021, and this is the third year in a row that they have released a collaboration song for the brand. In 2021, An Yu-jin was the face of the Pepsi campaign, while Jang Won-young and Leeseo joined her in 2022. Last year, and in 2023, all six members of IVE were featured in the campaign..
The group’s previous collaboration song with Pepsi, “I Want” (2023), was a huge hit, topping music charts and continuing to receive love from fans to this day. With “Summer Festa,” IVE is once again bringing their signature cool energy to the Pepsi brand, and the song is sure to be a hit with fans of both IVE and Pepsi.
The release of “Summer Festa” comes on the heels of IVE’s successful promotions for their second EP album, “IVE SWITCH,” with the double title tracks “HEYA” and “Accendio.” The group is currently on their first world tour, “IVE THE 1ST WORLD TOUR ‘SHOW WHAT I HAVE,'” which has taken them to 27 cities in 19 countries across Asia, the Americas, Europe, South America, and Australia. The tour will conclude with an encore concert in Seoul in August, followed by a performance at the Tokyo Dome in Japan in September.
