Grateful to Myself for Not Giving Up

On the latest episode of MBC’s variety show “I Live Alone,” actress Joo Hyun-young joined the cast, offering a glimpse into her life as a solo dweller for over a year.

Joo Hyun-young started by expressing her feelings about appearing on the show. She said, “I’m really grateful to myself. I’m glad I didn’t give up and did it until I got here,” before letting out a laugh. She then revealed her age, “I’m 29 years old this year,” solidifying her place in the coveted “MZ generation” demographic.

Living Solo for Emotional Independence

The highlight of the episode was undoubtedly Joo Hyun-young’s stylish home. She explained, “I have two older sisters. The three of us lived together for about a year, but I felt the need to be emotionally independent, so I decided to bravely come out and live on my own.”

Modern and Cozy Haven

As the cameras panned across the meticulously decorated interior, comedian Park Na-rae couldn’t help but exclaim, “Oh~ you live well decorated.” Joo Hyun-young, who recently moved into the new space, elaborated on her design choices: “I used a white tone for the interior concept and made it look neat and spacious. I also used wood to give it a warm feeling.” Park Na-rae’s comment perfectly captured the essence of Joo Hyun-young’s modern yet inviting space, remarking with a laugh, “MZs have everything in their homes~”

The tour also showcased Joo Hyun-young’s dedicated study area. She jokingly admitted, “I’m noisy inside, so I decorated the space where I am to be calm,” eliciting laughter from the cast and viewers alike.
