Yano Shiho’s Daughter Sarang Walks the Runway for the First Time.
On the June 29 broadcast of ENA’s My Child’s Private Life, viewers saw Choo Sarang take on her very first model audition, following in the footsteps of her mother, model Shiho Yano.
Sarang had earlier shared that she wanted to become a model like her mom. She got the chance to audition for a brand model role in Korea. The audition focused on each participant’s “unique charm” as the main evaluation point.
When she entered the venue, Sarang looked nervous and said, “I’m scared.” She’s currently 167 cm tall and reportedly had a growth spurt of 13 cm in just one year.
Despite the nerves, Sarang pulled off a good walk with a strong model-like gaze. But her final pose was cut too short. Her mother, who helped prepare her, said, “I only taught her walking practice and not posing. It was my mistake.”
Shiho Yano and others watched as Sarang walked again, this time showing more confidence in her poses. Still, the judges noticed her lower body lacked strength, which made her steps shaky. One judge commented she needed “the ability to control her own body.”
After finishing the walk and returning to her position, Sarang swayed—likely from tension wearing off. When Jang Yoon-jeong asked her mother, “If you were a judge, how would you evaluate Sarang?” Shiho responded, “Strengthen your lower body and come back. You’re not stable. But your upper body is beautiful.”
The judge then gave Sarang sincere feedback, telling her to take it seriously. That’s when Sarang began crying. She hid on the stairs and sobbed. In the studio, Shiho Yano also got emotional watching her daughter. “I don’t know why, but Sarang is crying,” she said.
