Storyline
“Welcome to Samdalri” is a healing drama about two childhood friends who are separated by different life goals. but reunited after facing a crisis.
Jo Yong-pil (Ji Chang-wook) is the head of the Mado Meteorological Office on Jeju Island. He is a brilliant forecaster who is dedicated to his work. However, he is also a workaholic who neglects his personal life. His mother died when he was young due to a erroneous weather forecast. And he vowed never to let that happen to anyone else.
Jo Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun) is a famous fashion photographer living in Seoul. She is ambitious and driven. And she has always dreamed of becoming great in the fashion industry. However, she also sacrificed her personal relationships to achieve her goals. She is estranged from her family and friends. Including Yong Pil, whom she hadn’t seen in years.
One day Sam dal’s career collapses. She lost her job and her boyfriend. And she was forced to return to Jeju Island. She was there to help her grandmother who was sick. But she hopes to reconnect with Yong Pil again.
Yong Pil and Sam Dal reunite after many years. But they are very different people. Yong Pil is still the same attentive and responsible person. But he was also tired and discouraged. Sam dal remained ambitious and driven. But she was also lost and broken.
