On June 11th, Byeon Woo-seok’s agency, BARO Entertainment, revealed that despite their efforts to adjust his schedule, the actor will be unable to attend the reward vacation planned for the cast of tvN’s hit drama “Lovely Runner.” This comes due to a pre-arranged Asian tour commitment.
Meanwhile, Kim Hye-Yoon’s agency, Artist Company, confirmed her participation in the upcoming reward trip.
“Lovely Runner”: A Breakout Success Story
“Lovely Runner” tells the story of Im Sol (played by Kim Hye-Yoon), a devoted fan who finds solace in the music of famous artist Ryu Sun-jae (Byeon Woo-seok) after a personal tragedy. Following his sudden death, Im Sol is transported back in time to 2008, determined to save her idol.
The drama has become a major success for tvN, ranking second in the number of paid subscribers on the Tving platform since its launch. “Lovely Runner” has seen a staggering 2100% increase in paid subscribers by episode 15 compared to its premiere week. Additionally, the drama held the top spot for four consecutive weeks in combined VOD and real-time channel viewership unique visitors. The total viewing time for both platforms surpassed 1.6 billion minutes.
Chart-Topping Popularity
Further solidifying its dominance, “Lovely Runner” topped Good Data Corporation’s TV-OTT drama topic survey for four consecutive weeks ending May 28th. Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-Yoon mirrored the show’s success, ranking first and second respectively for four weeks straight in the TV-OTT actor comprehensive topic survey.
Phuket Getaway to Celebrate Achievements
In response to the show’s immense popularity, the producers of “Lovely Runner” announced a reward vacation to Phuket, Thailand, for the cast and crew upon the drama’s conclusion.
