Jennie and Roses Solo Songs Continue to Dominate Billboard Global Excl. US Chart

BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Rosé Become Only K-Pop Artists with Two Solo Songs to Reach #1 on Billboard Global Excl. US Chart

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is breaking records left and right as a solo artist. On October 16, her hit single “You & Me” surpassed Jungkook’s collaborations “3D” (with Jack Harlow) and “Seven” (with Latto) to claim the top spot on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart. This chart tracks data from over 200 regions worldwide, and is based on music and streaming sales.

With this achievement, Jennie’s “You & Me” has broken several records. It is now the highest-peaking solo song by a Korean female artist on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart in 2023, surpassing her friend Jisoo’s “Flower” (No.2), Jimin’s “Like Crazy” (No.2), and Taehyung’s “Slow Dancing” (No.3).

Additionally, Jennie is now the only Korean female soloist to debut directly at #1 on the Billboard Global Excl. US chart, joining Rosé in this feat. She is also the only K-pop artist to have two solo songs (excluding collaborations) reach the top of this chart, with “You & Me” joining “On the Ground.”

Jennie’s success doesn’t end there. “You & Me” also debuted at No.6 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales chart, making it her first entry in the top 10. This ties her with Lisa as the highest-peaking K-pop female soloists on the chart (excluding collaborations).

Hi! I'm Lovely Rose, and I'm a huge fan of Korean dramas and K-pop. But my interests go beyond fandom – I also love reading novels and writing. However, here I want to write about dramas and K-pop music, That's what brings me here!
