Kim Hye-ja Faces Knife Threat in ‘Heavenly Ever After’ — Han Ji-min’s True Identity Still a Mystery
In the latest episode of JTBC’s weekend drama ‘Heavenly Ever After’ (directed by Kim Seok-yoon, written by Lee Nam Gyu and Kim Soo-jin, produced by Studio Phoenix and SLL), which aired on the 27th, things got pretty intense for Lee Hae-sook (Kim Hye-ja) as she dealt with misunderstandings and threats, while Som-i’s (Han Ji-min) real identity kept everyone guessing.
Lee Hae-sook headed off to church like she always does, and of course, ended up bickering with the pastor (played by Ryu Deok-hwan). That day, a new face showed up — Park Cheol-jin. He was oddly soaked and acting strange, and Lee Hae-sook, being cautious, warned him about grapes leading people to hell. Despite the weird vibe, the two managed to have a friendly chat like regular church member.
Meanwhile, Lee Hae-sook had her doubts about Som-i. She started thinking that this amnesiac girl might actually be Lee Young-ae (Lee Jung-eun), mainly because of the way Som-i acted — it was just too familiar. Plus, they already knew Lee Young-ae’s soul had ended up in the afterlife. Lee Hae-sook told Ko Nak-joon (Son Suk Ku), “They say at the center they don’t know where Young-ae is. You know it too. Our Young-ae is definitely someone who deserves to go to hell. This child is definitely our Young-ae,” but Ko Nak-joon didn’t buy it.
If that wasn’t enough chaos, word got out that someone had busted outta hell.

Turns out, the runaway was none other than Park Cheol-jin. He’d been living as a scrap dealer, roaming around while taking care of his wife who was basically unconscious. After finding out he had stage 4 colon cancer and not much time left, he made a heartbreaking decision — he couldn’t bear to leave his wife alone, so he planned a double suicide.
Park Cheol-jin opened up, saying, “If I die, who will take care of my wife who isn’t even conscious? I thought it would be better for her to go with me than to be pushed around facilities and die.” He promised he’d go back to hell if he could just find out where his wife was. In desperation, he even pulled a knife on Lee Hae-sook.
Ko Nak-joon, whose own wife was being held hostage, managed to deliver a package from Cheol-jin’s wife. He told him, “You have to go to hell, Cheol-jin. That’s where they say there’s a chance. Won’t you want to see your wife here later?” Somehow, Ko Nak-joon’s words got through to him, and Cheol-jin agreed to return to hell.
But just when everyone thought they could breathe, a huge shock dropped — Lee Young-ae was spotted in hell at the very end of the episode.
