Ahn Hyo Seop and Jeon Yeo Bin star in the new Netflix series A Time Called You, a mysterious time travel romance that will make you fall in love all over again.
On August 11th, Netflix released the release date and a poster for its original series A Time Called You, and fans of the K-drama are already counting down the days. Starring Ahn Hyo Seop, Jeon Yeo Bin, and Kang Hoon, the series tells the story of a woman who travels back in time to 1998 where she meets a man who looks exactly like her late boyfriend.
The series will be directed by Kim Jin Won, who previously directed the hit dramas My Country: The New Age and Just Between Lovers, and it is written by Choi Hyo Bi.
The poster features Jeon Yeo Been and Ahn Hyo Seop, Han Jun Hee (played by Jeon Yeo-been), running on a beach. She is running towards a man, Nam Si Heon (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), who is running towards her. The two of them embrace. Ahn Hyo Seop’s character is wearing a 1990s-style outfit, while Jeon Yeo Been’s character is wearing modern clothing. This suggests that the two characters are from different times.
The teaser starts with Jun Hee (Jeon Yeo Been) receiving a mysterious cassette tape with a note that says, “I hope this music takes you to your happiest moment.” When she plays the tape, she is transported back in time to 1998, where she meets Si Heon (Ahn Hyo Seop), who looks exactly like her deceased lover, Yeon Jun.
The teaser also shows some of the conflicts that Jun Hee will face in 1998. In Kyu (Kang Hoon), who has a crush on Min Joo (the girl whose body Jun Hee ends up in), is jealous of Si Heon. He tries to sabotage Jun Hee’s relationship with Si Heon, and even threatens to kill him.
The teaser ends with a thrilling montage of conflicts, people in life-threatening situations, and heartfelt reunions. The title card reads, “One past, One chance to save you.”
The actors in the teaser seem to be confident that the show will be a hit. Ahn Hyo Seop says that he enjoyed reading the script and filming the work, and he’s sure that viewers will find it very interesting. Jeon Yeo Been asks for a little more patience, saying that the long-awaited, lovely, and wonderful work will soon be revealed.
