Hackers Target K Pop Starship Entertainment Artists Lose YouTube Channels

On March 4, 2024, the YouTube channels of several artists under Starship Entertainment were hacked. The name of IVE’s channel was changed to “SpaceX,” the aerospace company led by Elon Musk. All of the videos on IVE’s channel were also deleted. The channel had 3.37 million subscribers.

Starship Entertainment said, “We are working with YouTube to resolve the issue of the hacking of our artists’ official channels. We will do our best to restore all of the content as quickly as possible.”

The YouTube channels of MONSTA X and CRAVITY were also hacked, and their videos were made unavailable. However, the music video for CRAVITY’s title track “Love or Die” from their 7th mini-album “EVERSHINE,” which was released just a week prior, was restored on CRAVITY’s channel.
