EXID’s Ahn Hee-yeon, also known as Hani, is finding peace through yoga after putting her marriage plans on hold.
She posted a few yoga shots on Instagram on May 22nd, along with a heartfelt message. “I started liking yoga because the phrase ‘just do as much as you can’ was so welcoming. ‘I can do only as much as I can?’ I always struggled with ‘doing only as much as I can,’” she shared.
She went on, “Of course, in yoga, the asana (posture) is important, and executing those postures is also important. But for me, yoga is a time to practice doing only as much as I can. I’m slowly learning how to be kind to myself. Today, I breathed, I flowed, and that was enough.”

Hee-yeon made her debut back in 2012 with EXID and performs under her stage name Hani. For her acting gigs, she goes by her real name. You might’ve seen her in dramas like XX, You Raise Me Up, Idol: The Coup, Hit the Spot, and Call It Love.
She was in the spotlight not too long ago for her relationship with psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong, who’s 10 years older. The couple was supposed to get married last September, but after a patient passed away at Yang’s hospital, their wedding was postponed indefinitely.
When the news broke, Hee-yeon stepped down from her role on the variety show Review Cut. She kept a low profile for a while until March, when she reunited with her EXID bandmates on Immortal Songs—and they ended up taking the win.
