Korean Drama “Captivating the King” Captures Hearts with Record Ratings
The romance drama “Captivating the King” is on a roll! This weekend, the show aired four special episodes to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and it paid off big time.
The show, starring Jo Jung Suk and Shin Se Kyung, usually airs on Saturdays and Sundays, but this weekend they added episodes on Friday and Sunday too. And guess what? More people than ever tuned in! The latest episode scored a record-breaking 6.7% average rating nationwide, according to Nielsen Korea.
JTBC’s “Doctor Slump” Sees Slight Increase, Other Shows Take Holiday Break
Other shows saw some movement in the ratings too. “Doctor Slump” on JTBC edged up slightly to 3.9% for its sixth episode. But the big winner of the night was “Live Your Own Life,” which maintained its top spot with an 18.3% average rating. (By the way, some other shows took a break for the holiday.)
