SBS’s “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny” aired some unexpected drama on June 16, as actress Choi Yeo-jin and her soon-to-be husband Kim Jae-wook butted heads—just three days before their big day.
It all started when Choi Yeo-jin asked, “You didn’t put anything on your face, did you?” Kim Jae-wook confidently claimed he had. But when she pressed him with, “Come here. Look me in the eye. Did you put it on?”—he admitted he only applied lotion.
Trying to keep him out of the sun, Choi Yeo-jin insisted, “Go quickly and put it on.” But Kim Jae-wook wasn’t having it, replying, “I think tanning looks cool. Dark skin looks cool.” Choi Yeo-jin snapped back, “You’re already very tanned. Is the groom going to have a pitch-black face? Am I marrying an orangutan?”
Though Kim Jae-wook did go and apply the sunscreen eventually, it didn’t exactly go smoothly. He returned with his face caked in white cream, sparking another outburst from Choi Yeo-jin: “Is he doing that to get back at me?”
Fellow cast member Kim Gu-ra chimed in with a sharp jab, “People who act like they’re obedient but do things like that are cunning.” Kim Jae-wook defended himself, saying, “I didn’t have a mirror.”
Comedian Jung Seok-yong added some humor to the situation, saying, “I even apply it at home,” showing off his “obedient husband” image. Known for his flawless complexion, he also revealed his nickname is “Lee Young-ae.” Kim Gu-ra joked, “It’s just a nickname. A nickname that can’t be empathized with,” drawing laughter.
Jung Seok-yong didn’t stop there—he shared that his wife also has a pet name: “She praises my looks a lot. She calls me Young-ae. And I call her Miseo. When we were traveling, I called her ‘Park Secretary,’ but she said ‘Park Secretary’ wasn’t good and preferred ‘Miseo,’ short for ‘beautiful secretary.’”
