Ju Hak Nyeon’s time with The Boyz has officially ended, following a controversy about his private life that sparked public attention.
Earlier today, it came out through media that he’d allegedly had a drinking session in Japan with a former adult video (AV) actress. That report led his agency, ONE HUNDRED, to take swift action.
The agency shared in a statement on the 18th, “Upon receiving information that Ju Hak Nyeon was involved in a private life issue, we immediately suspended his activities and confirmed the facts.” They continued, “Taking the seriousness of the matter gravely, we have finalized Ju Hak Nyeon’s departure from the group and the termination of his exclusive contract.”
“We recognized that it is difficult to maintain trust as an artist,” said ONE HUNDRED. “Ju Hak Nyeon’s activities as a member of The Boyz have concluded as of today.”
The agency also said, “We will spare no effort or support to ensure that the remaining members of The Boyz can continue their activities steadily and healthily.”
Just two days ago, on the 16th, ONE HUNDRED had stated that Ju Hak Nyeon would be stepping back from the spotlight “due to personal reasons.”
The Boyz, who started out in 2017, rose to fame with hits like THRILL RIDE and MAVERICK. They made a move from IST Entertainment to their current agency, ONE HUNDRED, last December.
