Stray Kids will release their 4th full-length album ‘KARMA’ and the title track ‘CEREMONY’ on August 22 at 1 PM KST (12 AM EST). This marks the group’s first full album in around two years. All songs on the record are credited to the members, keeping up their self-producing tradition since their debut single ‘District 9’.
On August 12, the group posted the teaser for the album’s third track, ‘CREED’, through official social media channels. The clip, shot in a European city, shows all eight members moving through the streets like wanderers. A heavy trap hip-hop beat plays over the visuals with lyrics like: “I give life to my words (Yeah I’m doing what I say) I reach heights from the dirt You know I bite the way I bark (Yeah I’m doing what I say Doing what I say, doing what I say).”
The video also includes trumpet creeper flowers, which bloom in summer. They’re known to represent honor and glory, and their nectar is believed to be poisonous. The use of the flower ties into Stray Kids’ consistent message of following a righteous path while dropping a comeback right in midsummer.
‘CREED’ comes as part of their ‘UNVEIL : TRACK’ series, which previews B-sides before the official release. While the first revealed track ‘BLEEP’ had a stylish, upbeat sound, this one delivers a more intense feel, aligning with the song’s theme of belief and commitment.
We can expect the full album and title track ‘CEREMONY’ to arrive on digital platforms worldwide on August 22, with the group aiming to showcase their broad musical range once again.
