In episode 10 of Resident Playbook, airing on the 11th at 9:20 PM on tvN, things heat up between professors—dragging residents Go Youn-jung and Shin Shi-ah into their tense rivalry.
Go Youn-jung (playing Oh Yi-young) and Shin Shi-ah (as Pyo Nam-kyung) are caught right in the middle of the quiet war between obstetrics and gynecology professors Lee Bong-ryun (Seo Jung-min) and Son Ji-yoon (Gong Gi-Seon). The professors aren’t just clashing over authority—they’re even arguing over operating room schedules, and now the residents are stuck in the crossfire.
The photos released ahead of the episode show Go Youn-jung and Shin Shi-ah looking pretty uncomfortable between the two intimidating seniors—Lee Bong-ryun, aka ‘granny witch,’ and Son Ji-yoon, nicknamed ‘Devil Deus.’ One of the shots even captures the two residents silently exchanging glances, clearly fed up but finding comfort in knowing they’re not alone.

The two young doctors have known each other since high school and are now working side by side as OB-GYN residents at Jongno Yulje Medical Center. Sure, they argue sometimes—totally normal when your personalities don’t match—but they’ve built a solid friendship through the chaos, really living out the saying, “love your fellow classmates.”
Meanwhile, Son Ji-yoon can’t hide her competitiveness toward Lee Bong-ryun, who holds a big-name title in the department. That cold tension at the top is slowly trickling down, and the residents can definitely feel it.
And just when things couldn’t get more stressful for the residents, another hospital emergency seems to be on the horizon. Now, everyone’s wondering: can the two professors who constantly butt heads actually show their juniors what it means to support each other during a crisis?
