On May 3rd, Seo Min-jae—who now goes by Seo Eun-woo—shared screenshots of her text convos with her boyfriend, Mr. A, accusing him of dodging responsibility after she told him she was pregnant. One of her messages said, “How can you irresponsibly abandon me after I got pregnant?” Mr. A responded with, “Noona, I was also very taken aback by the sudden situation, so I couldn’t reply quickly. My head is throbbing, so I’ll contact you tomorrow. Let’s talk together.” She apparently couldn’t reach him after that, so she messaged him again saying, “I’m at the apartment entrance. I’ll wait.”
Things heated up even more when Seo Eun-woo went public with what looked like Mr. A’s full personal info—his face, name, age, job, where he studied, and even the fact that his dad’s an exec at a big company.
Now, Mr. A’s side is firing back. On May 4th, his legal team from Roel Law Firm released a formal statement addressing everything. They said, “On May 2nd, Seo Eun-woo posted several photos on her personal account that directly exposed Mr. A’s face, along with his personal information.” They added, “From May 3rd, she has been posting text message exchanges that could be misconstrued as Mr. A unilaterally cutting off contact immediately after learning about Seo Eun-woo’s pregnancy, along with his workplace and address.”
But according to Mr. A, that’s not what went down. His team explained, “Mr. A clearly states that after hearing the news of the pregnancy from Seo Eun-woo, he continuously communicated with her to discuss their future and informed his parents of everything truthfully. He has never acted in a way to evade responsibility.”
It didn’t stop there—Mr. A’s reps also dropped some serious claims about Seo Eun-woo’s behavior. They said she called him nonstop, came to his place honking her horn for five minutes to get him to come down, and then made him go to her place where she allegedly “confined him, preventing him from leaving, and did not hesitate to assault him.”
The statement also pointed out, “Starting from April 29th, Seo Eun-woo suddenly began questioning Mr. A about things he never actually said, making dozens of phone calls. On April 30th, she came to Mr. A’s residence and honked her car horn for about five minutes in front of the entrance until he came down.”
Because of all this, Mr. A’s team said legal action is pretty much unavoidable now. “Ultimately, Mr. A has determined that legal action against Seo Eun-woo is unavoidable, and he intends to hold her appropriately legally responsible,” they stated. They’re also looking into taking action against all the “speculative and defamatory comments about Mr. A” being spread online and in Seo Eun-woo’s Instagram comments. They wrapped up by saying, “We request that Seo Eun-woo cease her illegal actions against Mr. A.”
Just for some context—Seo Min-jae (aka Seo Eun-woo) got popular from Channel A’s dating show Heart Signal 3 back in 2020. She made headlines at the time for being the first woman hired through open recruitment as a mechanic at a major company.
But this isn’t her first controversy. In August 2022, she openly admitted on Instagram that she and singer Nam Tae-hyun had used drugs. The cops ended up testing both of them, and results came back positive for meth. Seo Min-jae was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years.
