BTS’s Jin is seriously showing off some acting chops lately, and fans are loving it.
In his solo content Run Jin, which drops on BTS’s official YouTube channel BANGTAN TV, Jin recently took action acting lessons from martial arts director Jung Doo-hong. He kicked things off by watching stunt actors do their thing at the action school, and then dove straight into training.
Turns out, Jin’s a fast learner. Once he got going, he picked up the basics super quick thanks to his sharp moves and natural agility. He even nailed high-difficulty stuff like wire-assisted spins, which got everyone’s attention.
On set, he wowed folks with his solid action skills and super intense facial expressions. There was nonstop clapping, and Jung Doo-hong had high praise for him: “I thought he would do well in body acting because he dances well, but I didn’t know it would be to this extent. It’s excellent.”
What’s even more impressive is that he nailed a one-take action scene where he had to fight off multiple opponents. He stayed focused, syncing up tough choreography with the stunt team, and totally pulled it off.
But it’s not just action where Jin shines—he’s showing promise in melodrama too. In the music video for his title track Don’t Say You Love Me from the upcoming mini-album Echo (dropping on the 16th), he plays a lover opposite actress Shin Se-kyung. The MV’s drama style, though short, is hyped to show a softer, emotional side of his acting.
Even the 37-second teaser had fans talking, thanks to the subtle emotions and chemistry between Jin and Shin Se-kyung. It left a deep impression for something so brief.
With looks, physical talent, and the right vibe, Jin really has all the ingredients of an actor. He hasn’t officially announced any acting projects yet, but from what we’ve seen, fans are definitely waiting for the day “Actor Kim Seok-jin” becomes a real thing.
When’s Jin gonna hit the screen? We’re all watching.
