Lee Woo-ri, a rising star in the world of voice acting, tragically passed away on March 14th at the age of 24. The news was announced on social media by fellow voice actor Lee Dal-rae on March 15th.
Dal-rae expressed the deep sadness felt by Lee Woo-ri’s colleagues and fans, stating, “I am announcing that our beloved youngest member of the 11th class of CJENM’s voice acting troupe, Lee Woo-ri, has passed away on March 14th. All of his fellow voice actors and colleagues are deeply saddened by this sudden and tragic news.“
Respecting the wishes of the bereaved family, Dal-rae shared the news with Lee Woo-ri’s fans who admired and supported him. The funeral will be a private ceremony attended only by family and close colleagues.
“We ask all fans who loved Lee Woo-ri and remember his performances to pray that our dear colleague may rest in peace,” Dal-rae concluded.
Lee Woo-ri’s Voice Acting Career
Lee Woo-ri’s career began in 2021 when he debuted as a voice actor at the impressive young age of 21. He made history by becoming the youngest male voice actor ever accepted into CJENM’s prestigious voice acting troupe.
Lee Woo-ri quickly gained acclaim for his talent, lending his voice to characters in popular animations and games such as ‘Detective Conan’, ‘Shinbi Apartment’, ‘Crayon Shin-chan’, ‘The Strange Candy Shop’, ‘Vampire Girl Dal-ja’, ‘Genshin Impact’, ‘Dungeon & Fighter’, and ‘Cookie Run: Kingdom’.
