“Touch” Breaks 100M Views—KATSEYE Drops New Track “Gnarly” to Keep the Heat On.
KATSEYE’s making serious waves right now. HYBE just shared that the music video for their hit track “Touch” has officially passed the 100 million view mark on YouTube as of the 1st. Not bad for a debut, right?
“Touch” is one of two title tracks off their debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), which dropped last August. It’s got that upbeat pop feel, filled with soft, ear-pleasing melodies, and the members’ dreamy vocals really pull you in.
What really helped the song blow up? That super catchy melody and their unique performance style. It took off online, especially through short-form platforms where fans jumped on the challenge trend.
The hype doesn’t stop there—on Spotify, “Touch” is already closing in on 300 million total streams. It only took 82 days to hit 100 million streams, and it held strong on Billboard’s “Global 200” chart for 11 weeks straight and “Global Excl. U.S.” for 13 weeks.
And now, KATSEYE’s keeping the momentum going with a brand new single. They just dropped “Gnarly” the day before, and this one leans into hyper-pop with a mix of punk and dance vibes.
People are already loving it. “Gnarly” racked up over 1 million streams on Spotify in just 18 hours, and its music video shot straight to the top of both the overall and music sections on the trending tab.
They’re not slowing down either—KATSEYE made their comeback stage on Mnet’s M Countdown today, and they’re set to appear on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank on the 2nd, MBC TV’s Show! Music Core on the 3rd, and SBS TV’s Inkigayo on the 4th.
